Muthiah Kasi

Muthiah Kasi a visual artist trained in communication design was a resident artist at Peers- Khoj 2011. During 2015-17, he practiced Organic Farming with focus on soil regeneration and rainwater harvesting being a volunteer and consultant in permaculture farms and forest in and around Auroville.

He feels deeply about visually manifesting his contemplations of writings by Vivekananda, Ramana Maharshi and exploring evolutionary biology and geology. His style has evolved with his study of and influence by geometry of fractals in nature, geometry of Indian temple designs and Yantra designs.

He is currently in active research of making natural earth pigments from soils that are non-toxic to the environment. Since 2018 most of his pigments are made by himself from raw soil collected by self or contributed by friends. He is excited to be conversing on the common thread of our Consciousness about Ecology through the subject as well as the medium of his creations.
