Kalpana Bhaskaran

Kalpana Bhaskaran is from Tanjore, Tamil nadu. As an artist, she chooses Acrylic as her medium since it is comfortable for me to paint in it. To her art is something that doesn’t have simple meaning or definition .Her paintings are of forms, deep from memory or accumulated emotions . She creates worlds of colour and contemplation using form ,colour, line, texture, pattern,composition and process to present ideas and evoke emotions in a poetic manner .

Spirituality is a state of having a connection to the spiritual world and it is a universal human experience. She, as an artist attain this stage when she holds brush in her hand and dip her thoughts in colours to express her state of mind . In this paintings , ‘Neelamegan’ and ‘Sound of bliss’ she wanted to tell art lovers and viewers how things are connected spiritually .The sound of flut , conch and bell brings spiritual thinking and mesmerize us once we hear it .
