Jeevananthan V

Since his college days, Jeevananthan has been very active in an artists group of Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, He is presently the President of Chithrakala Academy, a reputed artisits group in Coimbatore. He has participated in 44 Annual Art exhibitions conducted by Chithrakala Academy at Coimbatore, Bangalore and Chennai.

During his college days, he used to illustrate in a magazine Disaigal, and write Film reviews in Kalki Tamil magazine. His book on cinema , ‘Thiraicheelai’ received a National Film Award in 2010 for a best book on cinema, and he received it from the hands of the Indian President. He has received plenty of awards including Nanjil Nadan Award, by Siruvani vasagar Amaippu. He has done hundreds of live sketching events in Colleges and schools, including more than 10 art camps in Toronto, Canada.

He now illustrates for magazines published from Canada , Singapore and Tamil Nadu and actively participates in the editorial of the Web Magazine Aavanalzhi along with his illustrations and writing articles on Cinema.
