Geetha Gopi

Geetha Gopi is a computer teacher turned accomplished artist from Chennai. She is a trained Tanjore painting artist for more than 30 years from South Zone Cultural centre, Thanjavur. Her innate passion and desire for divinity and spirituality has driven her towards traditional Tanjore art. Her inclination towards traditional arts of India has made er to do a lot of work in Mandala , Kalamkari, Pichwai, Madhubani, Kerala Murals and Kolams.

As an artist her quest for other mediums made her work on water colours , acrylic, soft pastel, charcoal and oil. She has made several creations in these genres. She has trained quite of lot of art loving people in Tanjore art. Her paintings adore pooja rooms of those who have purchased world wide. She has made around 500 Tanjore paintings till date and participated in exhibitions organised by Western Cultural Centre, Udaipur at Gandhinagar and Mumbai.
